Infrastructure
Digitally Controlled. Scalable. Integrated.
LASS operates within a modern, digitally integrated manufacturing environment designed to support high-reliability defence and advanced industry programs at scale.
Digital Production Environment
Every production workstation operates within our in-house developed production management system, providing real-time access to controlled documentation, batch tracking and job status information.
All tooling, materials and production records are tracked within SAP, ensuring full traceability of operator, tooling, batch and inspection data throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Controlled Assembly Environment
All workbenches are ESD protected and configured within a structured workflow layout to maintain controlled assembly conditions.
Operator qualification and training status are managed internally, supported by in-house IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified trainers, enabling disciplined workmanship and scalable workforce development.
Automated Processing Systems
- Schleuniger PowerStrip 9580 automated wire processor
- Strip Series B300, UniStrip 2550 & EcoStrip 9380
- CoaxStrip 5300 RX
- StripCrimp 208
- Full Daniel DMC MIL-SPEC tooling suite
- WA23B Large Gauge Pneumatic Indent Crimp Tool
- HX33 Open Frame Pneumatic Crimp Machine
These systems enable consistent, repeatable processing across a wide range of wire gauges and connector types, supporting both prototype and volume production requirements.
Automated Storage & Inventory Control
LASS is implementing automated vertical storage systems to support high-density inventory control and structured goods-to-person picking processes.
- Up to 17,280 SKU locations)
- ERP-integrated batch and lot management
- LED-guided picking accuracy
- Reduced operator travel and improved productivity
- Secure access control for sensitive inventory
This system enhances picking accuracy, inventory visibility and operational efficiency while maintaining full traceability.
Testing & Validation Systems
- DIT-MCO automated circuit analysers (100% continuity & resistance testing)
- Anritsu & Viavi RF analysers (VSWR & insertion loss graphs)
- DSX CableAnalyzer for copper certification
- Computer-generated test reports available where required
All assemblies are subject to 100% inspection and programmed test validation in accordance with customer and MIL-STD requirements.
Scalable Workforce & Capacity Planning
Defence program lead times typically range between 16–30 weeks. This window enables controlled capacity planning and structured workforce expansion without compromising workmanship standards.
LASS operates a formal internal training program led by in-house IPC-certified trainers, allowing efficient onboarding and qualification of additional personnel to support program ramp-up.
Secure Customer Access & Digital Records
LASS provides secure, encrypted online access to test reports, Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and production documentation via a dedicated customer portal.
All DIT-MCO, RF and DSX validation reports are uploaded to our web-based system and retained indefinitely, ensuring long-term traceability and audit support throughout the lifecycle of the program.
Access is controlled through individual login credentials and encrypted data transfer, providing secure and reliable documentation availability.
